  • Announcing the Perfect Imprints New Office Location

Despite the economy and challenges that small businesses face on a daily basis, Perfect Imprints continues to grow. We believe our growth has been spurred on by our stellar customer service, our expertise in the field of marketing, and our dedication to helping our clients succeed with their business. Our employees don't just sell products, they invest their full hearts into giving our clients an edge over their competitors. Because our staff cares about the success of your business, we put all of our efforts and resources into helping each client to meet a common goal of growing your business or organization.

Because of our growth, Perfect Imprints requires a larger office space. We will re-locate from Shalimar, FL to Fort Walton Beach, FL, which is only 3 miles down the road. The new office space will give us more space to expand our staff and better serve our clients. For our local clients, who will understand these landmarks, we will be moving into the former Bad Girls Arty Gallery house. As of right now, the house is Bright Pink; however, we will soon paint the exterior. The house, which will be our office, is located just South of Yacht Club Rd, right next to Bank of America and across the street from Okinawa Japanese Steak & Seafood House.

We like the new office, not only because it is a larger space than our current office, but also because the new office has character and a charm that is slowly being lost due to new construction an modern remodels. The old hardwood floors from the 1950's give us a retro office space that is completely different from typical sterile strip mall or office building complexes.

    The new address will be:

    Perfect Imprints, LLC
    183 Eglin Pkwy NE
    Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548

Our phone numbers will remain the same. Our move-in date is tentatively scheduled for February 8th, 2013. We are planning a HUGE grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration on 4/4 at 4:00. We will have seafood gumbo, beer, wine, door prizes, giveaways, and other food. More info will be posted later about our Grand Opening celebration.

  • Design T-Shirts Online

Design T-Shirts OnlineDo you like to design your own t-shirts online? If so, try out Perfect Imprints new online t-shirt designer. Choose from several t-shirt styles as well as a huge database of clipart to choose from. Also, you can upload your own logos. Below are a dozen tips to help you create a great shirt design!

    Design Tips:

    1. If you upload your own image, make sure it is a high resolution image. Images pulled from websites are often low resolution and aren't good for printing. Vector based images are the best to use for printing since they are infinitely scalable and print clean and crisp make your design look great.
    2. Have a focal point for your design. What's the point of your design? Whatever it is, make sure your eyes focus on that aspect of the design first!
    3. If you are designing event shirts that you will be selling, the most important aspect besides the shirt quality/style is the design. Make sure you have a killer design! Don't be opposed to paying a professional graphic design for an awesome t-shirt design. You WILL sell more shirts with a great design!
    4. Don't create a design that is too "busy." Too much design can be bad and detract from the appeal.
    5. Use multiple colors. While multiple colors do increase the cost of the shirt, using 2 or more imprint colors on a t-shirt can make a huge difference on the success of your design.
    6. Incorporate the shirt color into the design. For example, if you are using blue t-shirts and part of your logo is blue, use the blue from the shirt rather than creating a new blue ink color. This will save money on the printing.
    7. Get some feedback from trusted associates, friends, or family members, but don't involve too many people in the design aspect. If too many people get their hand in the pie, you will never finalize a design that is acceptable to all!
    8. Keep it simple. Sometimes the best designs are very simple and less actually is more. This can tie back to tip #2 which is keep your focal point and your purpose in mind when designing your tshirt!
    9. Be creative! People who receive free t-shirts or those who buy t-shirts from events or businesses like something just a little different. Again, to reference tip #3, hire a designer if you are lacking in the creativity department. It's okay if you are, because most likely, graphic design was not your career path.
    10. Know for whom the shirts are intended. Just because YOU like the design doesn't mean that your targeted audience will like them. For instance, if the majority of your clients are those 60 years of age and older, don't design a t-shirt with grunge art. The idea is for the recipients to wear the shirts and continue to market for your business, organization, or event. If they don't like the design, they won't wear the shirts.
    11. Consider designing some of your text or images on an angle or rotated a bit. Get a little crazy and liven up your design a bit. Everything doesn't have to be in a straight line and perfectly centered.
    12. Be funny, if appropriate for your design. Let's face it...the world we live in now is tough and most people appreciate some well-placed humor.

Our online t-shirt design is meant our clients who love to design their own shirt. Designing t-shirts takes hours to do effectively, so if you don't have the time or creativity, give us a call.  Perfect Imprints has a staff of amazing graphic designers who can develop an incredible t-shirt design for you.

  • National EMS Week 2013

National EMS Week24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year they are on call. Yes, even on Christmas Day, Easter morning, Labor Day, and every other holiday. They wait on standby, just in case they receive a call from you, one of your family members, one of your friends, or anyone else in your community. They don't care about your job title. They don't care about your income status. They don't care about your ethnic background. They only care about your well being. They go weeks, months, or sometimes years without a simple "Thank You." They are out in the rain, snow, sleet, tornados, and even hurricanes. While others are taking cover during a storm, these dedicated professionals are gearing up to go out and face the storm to serve the public. Their paychecks don't even begin to reflect the level of professionalism, dedication, and danger they face on a daily basis. While on duty, they rarely get to finish a complete meal or even get fully to sleep before duty calls. They work long shifts sacrificing their time with their family. With all of the dedication these individuals put forth, the average American rarely even thinks about them, that is, of course, until they are needed!

The heroes I am talking about are our EMS professionals, which includes EMTs, paramedics, first responders, and emergency dispatchers. Their primary function is to save lives! With many EMS systems, the fire departments are integrated with the emergency response system and the fire department acts as the first responders. The profession of a paramedic has significantly advanced over the past decade. Out of the hospital setting, paramedics can perform many advanced, life-saving procedures that are typically only reserved for physicians. Paramedics have a large arsenal of emergency medications they can dispense during medical emergencies. They are extensively trained in the stabilization and emergency treatment of those who have sustained traumatic events such as motor vehicle accidents, falls, gunshot wounds, knife wounds, and blunt trauma. The knowledge and training is not something that comes easy. It takes several years of schooling, training, and experience to master these skills and the knowledge set required to perform as a paramedic. In addition, paramedics spend countless hours each year simply refreshing their skills and gaining new knowledge to better serve their patients.

For one week out of the year, I suggest that we honor the incredible work that our EMS workers perform. For one week, let's make it all about them. For 2013, National EMS Week is May 19th through May 25th. This week we should do for our community EMS workers who put it all on it line for very little appreciation. Here are some ideas for honoring your local EMS workers for National EMS Week starting on May 19:

    • Provide lunch or dinner for their shift.
    • Drop off snacks for them to enjoy for the week.
    • Have kids from your school or church write letters and draw pictures for them.
    • Provide custom EMS gifts for them with your business logo on them.
    • Provide useful gifts they could use during their shifts such as duffel bags, coolers, insulated lunch bags, books, and other items.
    • Throw a party in their honor.
    • Give them gift certificates to restaurants and local area attractions.
    • Personally tell them "Thank You".
    • If you own a restaurant, give them FREE meals for the week, while on duty.

There are many things you can do for our EMS workers to show your appreciation. With this celebration of EMS Week, businesses can use this time to not only thank our EMS personnel, but also to promote themselves at the same time. This can happen through buying EMS gifts. Custom coolers are great items that can be personalized with your business logo and phone number and a personalized imprint about EMS Week 2013. The star of life as pictured above is a symbol of EMS which can be incorporated into the design. Because EMS workers often work 24 shifts (and some longer), they typically bring some sort of backpack or duffel bag to work with them each day. Why not provide nice, high quality,  personalized backpacks with your company logo and a message of support for EMS printed on the backpacks?

Other things businesses can do to promote EMS Week is to have custom printed items that are lower in price printed and distribute to the community to promote EMS Week awareness. Items such as promotional pens and pencils are cheap and great items to give away to large crowds and make them aware of the work EMS does. With your business showing support of such an important profession shows your customers and potential clients that you care about the community.

If you would like help finding EMS gifts to promote EMS Week or just want EMS Week ideas, be sure to contact one of our promotional product experts at 1-800-773-9472.

  • 15 Ideas for Custom Matchbooks

Many business owners are on a quest for the cheapest possible marketing items that are still effective in promoting their business. Often times, cheaper is NOT better. Sometimes cheaper items will make your business look cheap; however, there are a handful of cheap items that DO work. How about buying an item that comes in at only $0.05 or lessper item! As a matter of fact, this item has a cost of only one third of a penny per impression, with an impression being how many times your item is used.

The items I'm referring to would be custom matchbooks. If you buy 20 stem matchbooks in a stock color, you can buy a minimum of one case of 2500 matchbooks for only $123.92, which is just shy of a nickel a piece. Knowing that each matchbook has 20 matches in each book, that means a recipient can use that matchbook 20 times. $0.05 divided by 20 is only $0.003 each time the matchbook is used. Each time the matchbook is used, that person sees your logo and is reminded of your company. It's unbeatable pricing for marketing.

Here are some ideas for using custom matchbooks:

    1. Bars and Restaurants - these are among the top places you would expect to see personalized matchbooks. Many restaurants have bars and with drinking alcohol, many people smoke. Even though smoking has been banned in many bars and restaurants around the country, outdoor seating at bars and restaurants have become very popular. This gives the opportunity for bars and restaurants to market their business using personalized matchbooks.
    2. Tobacco Stores - More and more custom tobacco stores have opened over the past few years, giving tobacco consumers more choices about the tobacco they buy. Rolling your own cigarettes has been become very popular and it stands to reason that giving away a pack of matchbooks with your logo and contact info printed on them is a great giveaway with each purchase.
    3. Bail Bondsman - It's no surprise that many DUI's are received after leaving a bar or nightclub. Well, a popular tactic with bail bondsmen is to give out custom printed matchbooks to bars, lounges, and clubs. Then as the bar patrons pocket the matchbooks left behind by a bail bondsman, they have a phone number to call should they get busted for a DUI. It's very specific targeting of their clients, but it works very well.
    4. Attorneys - In a very similar fashion to the marketing strategy of many bail bondsmen, lawyers can follow the same procedure of leaving behind promotional matchbooks with contact information to patrons of bars, nightclubs, and even to inmates at jails.
    5. Prison Ministry - The current trend now in the U.S. is to deny anything to do with God in our schools, government institutions, and businesses but help prisoners find God AFTER they do a crime. While we recognize this as a completely backwards way of life, it is the way things are now. Facts show that the majority of prisoners are smokers. Some were smokers before they did their crime and some take up smoking after their arrest. Because of the high number of smokers in prisons, this is a great opportunity to print Bible verses and ministry contact information on custom matchbooks for the prisoners who are ready to seek God and have questions about their faith.
    6. Candle Companies - There are many companies that create some fantastic smelling custom candles and cool candle shapes. Including a book of matches with each order would be a great giveaway that would be definitely be useful.
    7. Campgrounds - A popular outdoor family activity is camping. There's nothing more relaxing than sitting around a campfire with nothing to do but stare at the stars and converse with friends and family. However, in order to start the fire you need either matches or a lighter, so custom matchbooks are great giveaways for campground facilities.
    8. Tattoo Shops - Most tattoo artists are quite proud of their artistic skills. It takes a talent to be able to freehand elaborate designs in the form of a multi-color tattoo. Getting full color printed matchbooks is a great way to show off some of their portfolio of tattoos. In addition, some tattoo artists use matchbooks in place of business cards.
    9. Music Bands - Part of the revenue stream for musical artists is selling merchandise. Why not promote your website for your merchandise by including your url printed on custom printed matchbooks? Smoking definitely happens at concert venues so have fans use your personalized matchbooks to light up and further strengthen your musical brand!
    10. Incense shops - Even if your store doesn't specialize in just incense but you do sell incense, giving away custom matchbooks is a great addition for each incense sale. For the next 20 times they light up their incense, they will be reminded where they bought it. Hopefully by the end of that matchbook, it will be time to buy more and they will have no choice but to remember where they bought it.
    11. Marriage Counselors - Keep in mind that "corny" or "cheesy" sometimes works for marketing. So if you are a marriage counselor, how about printing a slogan on your matchbooks that says, "Want a Smoking Hot Marriage?" followed by your contact info. Have your laughs, but this works for marriage counselors..
    12. Caterers - For smokers, lighting up immediately after eating is common. For this reason, it's a great, cheap giveaway for caterers.
    13. Event Planners - Candles are commonly used at events such as weddings and parties, so matchbooks can be useful items left behind by the event planners. It also is a discrete way to let all of the guests know who organized the event and is a great way to gain new clients.
    14. Wedding Favors - Brides are always looking for inexpensive wedding favors to commemorate their special day. Personalized wedding matchbooks are great for weddings. Brides can print their names and hitch date to give out in mass to their attendees.
    15. Hardcore Ministry - If you have ever seen any ministry organization reach out to those people who really need some guidance, you will know it takes creativity to get the attention of these lost people. I'm referring to prostitutes, gang members, drug dealers and abusers, among many others living a hard lifestyle. The strategy is to give out something that would appeal to them with an imprint on the front of the matchbooks with something that would entice them such as a source for drugs or prostitution. Then when they open the matchbooks to get out a match, a Bible verse or some other inspirational message is printed in plain site. The idea is that maybe one of two of these people will see the light and get help to change their life for the better.

Virtually any business can find a creative design or use for customized matchbooks. Finding a "cheaper" form of marketing than custom matchbooks is virtually impossible. In addition, you can choose, from 20 stem, 30 stem, 40 stem, or box matches to suit your marketing needs.

    • Retail Businesses - Any store can print a custom offer on plastic tokens to entice consumers to redeem at their store. Plastic tokens are just glorified coupons that your customers are much more likely to redeem. Because they are plastic and not paper, like a typical coupon, your customers see the tokens as having more value and are much more likely to keep the token and use it at your store. Here are a few ideas of how to use custom tokens with your business to increase sales:
      • $1 OFF ANY PURCHASE
      • $5 OFF ANY PURCHASE
      • $10 OFF ANY PURCHASE OF $25 OR MORE
      • $25 OFF ANY PURCHASE OF $75 OR MORE
      • $50 OFF ANY PURCHASE OF $200 OR MORE
      • REDEEM FOR FREE GIFT WITH PURCHASE OF $10 OR MORE
      • SAVE 10% OFF ANY PURCHASE
      • SAVE 50% OFF 1 REGULAR PRICED ITEM
    • Festivals and Carnivals - Many schools, churches, and non-profit organizations host various festivals and carnivals throughout the year to raise money or awareness. Using plastic tokens instead of cash can be much easier and safer to keep up with all of the money raised. Instead of the money being spread all over the festival at 20 or 30 different booths, tokens worth various values can be sold at 1 booth so all of the cash can be accounted for and kept together securely. Then the tokens are redeemed at each booth, ride, or vendor table. At the end, any vendors can redeem their tokens for cash. In most cases all tokens are not redeemed and the organization putting on the festival actually makes more money than if cash were used for each event. It's much easier for people buy tokens all at once up front and spend "tokens" at each booth rather than cash. Here are some recommended values and ideas for custom tokens for your festival or carnival:
      • 50 CENTS
      • $1 VALUE
      • $2 VALUE
      • $3 VALUE
      • $5 VALUE
      • $10 VALUE
      • GOOD FOR 1 RIDE
      • GOOD FOR 1 DRINK
      • GOOD FOR 1 PLATE OF FOOD
      • GOOD FOR 1 GAME
      • GOOD FOR 1 T-SHIRT

There are literally thousands of more ways to use customized tokens to promote your event or business. Be creative and generous and your campaign will be successful. If you would like some help or additional ideas using custom tokens, just call one of our our promotional products specialist!
