Reduce restaurant failure rates with effective use of marketing products

The high failure rate of restaurants might not be as staggering as it's made out to be. Ohio State professor H.G. Parsa conducted a study on restaurants in Columbus, Ohio and found that over a three-year timeline, the failure rate was between 57 and 61 percent. While this still shows that restaurant start-ups often fail, it's a far cry from myths that upwards of 90 percent of new restaurants don't make it.

Restaurant owners and hopeful entrepreneurs can increase their chance of success by building brand awareness and developing a loyal customer base. Promotional products can be helpful tools in achieving these goals.

Business owners can design a distinctive logo for their restaurant and have it printed on a variety of marketing products as well as promotional gifts that they can give away to customers. Bars can stock matchbooks that are custom-printed with the restaurant's logo, name and phone number to give away to customers. They can also give away free customized koozies with drinks that patrons can take home with them.

Restaurants can also generate interest in their brand by printing a recognizable logo design on t-shirts, glassware and coasters to use in-house and sell as merchandise. Patrons can take home coasters as mementos and purchase pint glasses to share with their friends.

Custom printed uniforms increase professionalism and solidarity

Getting custom printed uniforms for your employees can supply them with the proper attire for their position along with fostering a sense teamwork. Uniforms can also serve as marketing products by presenting a professional and recognizable image to your customers. In fact, uniforms can positively affect employees' attitudes and increase employee and customer satisfaction.

Full length bib aprons with center pockets can make a great uniform for employees in the food service industry. Baristas and sandwich artists can keep their clothes protected from spills and stains underneath a long apron.

The waitstaff at fine dining restaurants can wear a long bistro apron with a fold over front panel and inset pocket or a euro bistro apron with patch pockets on the outside. They'll be able to keep checks organized in the pockets and have plenty of pens on-hand for customers.

Custom printed t-shirts can serve as casual uniforms at bars or family restaurants. Employees might enjoy that the shirts are comfortable and easy to clean. You can design them yourself using your business name and logo or hire the help of a professional graphic designer. A unique and simple design can make your brand more recognizable and serve as promotional products. If you print extra, you can sell them as retail merchandise to customers.
