How to Choose the Right Promotional Items

Promotional Products ExpertsWhether you are choosing promotional items for a small business or a large corporation, it is extremely important to choose the right products for your advertising campaign. If you choose the wrong products, your campaign can be a failure and it will end up wasting a lot of your hard earned marketing dollars. Helping your choose the RIGHT products is where we can help. We have over 15 years of experience in the promotional products industry, so we have learned a thing or two about what works and what doesn't. In those 15 years, we have also compiled a lot of research data about the thousands of different promotional products. We have a great understanding about the behaviors of promotional product recipients regarding the longevity of giveaways. For instance, we know that:

*The main reason that people keep a promotional product is based upon the usefulness of that item with computer products, health and safety products, and writing instruments topping the list of longevity.

*We also know that approximately 8 of 10 consumers own between 1 and 10 promotional products and 6 of those 10 keep them for up to two years, with a little over half (53%) of those people using those items at least once per week!

There are many factors that influence a successful promotional product campaign and there are very few distributors that actually take these factors into account. Below are a few very important questions that need to be answered for every campaign:

  • What is your budget? Many people clam up when we ask them about their budget. There seems to be suspicion that we just want to sell them the highest priced item that their budget will allow. While many distributors may practice that uncouth technique, we ask because there are over a million items in our database and if we had to search through all of them, we would have some options for you in about 4 1/2 years. We have found that most people want to know their options ASAP, so
  • Who is your targeted audience? We like to know who the bulk of your customers are, because we want to give out appropriate items to them to increase the effectiveness of the campaign. While more and more of the elderly are getting educated about technology, it still wouldn't be very effective to give out technology products if your main clientelle are senior citizens.
  • What is the goal of your campaign? Are you looking to increase brand awareness? Introduce a new company or a new product? Push a specific service? Increase overall sales?  Your main goal is very important when choosing promotional items for your campaign.
  • What is the desired launch date of your project? Some promotional items have longer production times, while many we can have produced the same day ordered. Therefore, when gathering our research for your project, we certainly factor in production time.
  • What other advertising are you doing for this campaign? We understand that all of your advertising should work together and that includes promotional items, billboards, online marketing, and print advertising. We make sure your campaigns are seamless and all work for a common goal.

The questions above are just a few that we take into consideration, among many others. We urge you not to make a decision with haste, if time permits. We want to be the marketing department for your business and with that, we do much of the research for you. We have relationships with thousands of factories all of the United States, including many "premium" relationships, which gives us a huge edge over our competition in regards to pricing and production time. We want to use our knowledge and experience to help your company succeed and grow. We know that if we are doing a good job for you then our relationship with you will grow and that helps us both.
